Jennifer G. Sullivan (who used to be Jennifer Goldstein) should probably put this bio in first person, but she’s too busy writing about beauty culture to write about herself.

Jenn hosts the award-wining podcast Fat Mascara and is a weekly columnist for New York Magazine’s The Cut. On her quest to uncover beauty stories, she’s interviewed hundreds of celebrities, live-streamed one of her tattoo appointments, squeezed eggs from salmon in Norway, and harvested shea nuts in Ghana. In her 20+ years as a journalist, she’s written cover stories for Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire, and contributed articles to Allure, Elle, Esquire, Violet Grey, and many others.

Jenn has appeared as a beauty expert on Today!, Good Morning America, and Watch What Happens Live; she often serves as a judge for industry awards programs (Cosmetic Executive Women, The Fragrance Foundation, Beauty Independent, and others); and she consults for brands such as Milk Makeup, Armani Beauty, Dr. Idriss, Neutrogena, and MAC Cosmetics. She is an in-demand speaker and panel moderator (clients include Procter & Gamble, Allergan Aesthetics, and Shiseido) and has spoken at Harvard Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Syracuse University, SUNY, and CUNY.

If she’s not on a mic or on deadline, she’s probably hiking with her husband, Eric, and their hairless dog, Wolfgang.
